Do you notice how often you talk about what you love about yourself and your life vs what you would like to change? You have all these incredible gifts within you and around you. Do you truly tap into them? Whatever the answer is don’t judge it. Simply use it to determine whether your focus is helping you feel at peace or not.
If it isn’t, make a promise to yourself that you will set the intention to focus on what is great about you and the life you currently have. This doesn’t mean not having goals. It means finding contentment in what is while gently working on growth (if that is what you desire).
If the voice of the ego pops up and starts bringing you back to perceived flaws or feelings of lack, just let the thoughts float by and replace them with their opposite.
If for example you often think and even talk about the fact that you don’t have enough money, start being grateful for all the abundance you already have (enough money to buy food, have a roof over your head and have the Internet…).
If negative thoughts about yourself surface, observe them from a distance, choose not to believe them and then make a mental list of your amazing strengths.
It might seem like a lot of effort at first, but feeling crappy requires just as much energy if not more. You will see that with time this practice will become easier and almost automatic.
Choosing to focus on gratitude and self love is one of the most precious gifts you can give yourself.
It will not only impact your life positively but also those around you thanks to the newfound inner peace, clarity and energy you will develop. Wishing you a wonderful day and may you be happy + healthy.
