Sometimes we just need to remind ourselves that everything will be ok. I know how easy it can be to get frazzled over the little things. We are so caught up in our own little world that we forget to put things in perspective. We sweat the small stuff and cause ourselves unnecessary stress.
It’s not to say that what we are fretting over isn’t important but really, is it threatening our safety? Do we risk losing the roof over our head? Probably not. I think that when we start worrying a lot, when we feel like a fish out of water, it can sometimes be because we are out of alignment with our purpose.
I believe that we all have special reasons we are here and special gifts to bring to this world. The universe conspires to help us achieve this purpose and so we must have a little more faith that everything will be ok.
When you feel stress overwhelm you, ask yourself “Am I breathing? Is my heart beating?” Yes, then everything will be okay. In fact, all as well now. There might be external circumstances that don’t please you but as Eckhart Tolle says “This too shall pass“. Come back to this mantra whenever you need to today. Come back to your breath and your beating heart and focus on gratitude and amazement for the miracle that is your life.
