In addition to travel being a big passion for my father and I, we both love spending time on the water so on day 6 in Costa Rica, we went on a fun sunset cruise. The highlight of the trip was a stop at a tiny island where we did some swimming, sunning and snorkeling. I was ready to stay there forever. Here’s how our day went down.
Started the day with an early morning meditation and then watched the sunrise (view form my bedroom balcony)We met our sunset cruise gang at our local beach, one of my favourite places to hang out while in Coco. One day, my man and I will have a sailboat like this and will island hop around the world together. Our delightful captain.Dad taking in the view (and a cocktail).A fellow Canuck provided great live music as we sailed away. The photog at work. When our snorkeling destination came into the horizon, I got quite excited. Felt like we were arriving on Gilligan’s Island! Our captain pointed out at the dip in the cliff indicating a lookout spot for those who weren’t afraid of a little climbing. The view from the top was breathtaking. This photo doesn’t even do it justice.
Powerful waves crashing through a cave in the rock. The water around the island had a beautiful turquoise tint to it and it was sooo warm! Pure heaven.Time for some snorkeling! What do you mean we have to go back? I’m just fine right here.Fishermen heading home after a day on the Ocean.Spotted a beautiful rainbow on our way back to port. And of course, there is always THAT couple that provides the entertainment on the tour… Joking aside, they were quite colourful characters but were also super nice. This moment was well worth waiting for. No filter needed.
This video is worth watching. The sun literally looked like it was sinking into the Pacific. So beautiful and magical (sorry for the bouncing around but in my defense, we were on a boat).
Wow, what a day. And as if it couldn’t get any cooler, as we cruised into our beach, there were flying fish jumping out of the water all over the place. I think Costa Rica wants us to come back…. soon. ;)

Beautiful pictures ! Le nouvel appareil photo était bien utilisé et efficace à ce que je vois !
Thanks dad! Yes, I am so happy to have a proper camera now. Makes such a difference. And I guess I’m a pretty quick learner. Was lucky enough to have a few good teachers surrounding me and probably some good photographer genes too. ;)
Merci Chadi!

Great pics! What a pro with a new camera-and after only 2 months. Must be hereditary.

What’s up, surfer dudette?
