On Sunday, March 8th (International Women’s Day) there are two amazing yoga events taking place right here in Montreal and that will be lead by two of my favourite yoga teachers: Bram Levinson and Frances Vicente. I will be attending both because A) I know I will have fun and B) I am always looking for ways to make a difference and help those less fortunate. I’m sharing these events with you as many of us want to help others but sometimes we don’t know how. We think it has to be something grandiose like going to Africa for 2 months to help orphans or build a school (I will do that someday) but the reality is that every day we have opportunities to make someone’s life just a little better. This Sunday, you have two great options to give back:
Event #1: The Power Of Movement, 8:45 am at the Montreal Forum
Details (via the Power of Movement website): Join us at the Montreal Forum for Canada’s largest yoga fundraiser for Arthritis and Autoimmune disease. This session is led by Frances Vicente from Luna Yoga and Chair Yoga is offered by Brian Tuck from Happy Tree Yoga. All proceeds go to Arthritis Research Foundation to help find a cure for arthritis and auto-immune diseases. You can register here or simply show up. Event sponsored by Lolë.
Event #2: Yoga Fundaraiser to End Violence Against Women, 1:00 – 3:00 pm
You can confirm your presence via Facebook here or simply show up.
******REMINDER: Sunday, March 8 is Daylight Savings Time – set your clocks forward 1 hour Saturday night when you go to sleep to ensure you don’t miss out!*******
