Your focus has incredible power. It has the power to release stress, to welcome in happiness and to shift an anxious internal state into a calm one. Your focus is where you direct your mind and attention. It’s always directed somewhere and once you become aware of it, you can decide where you want it to go.
Sometimes your focus goes towards worry thoughts. When that’s the case, simply shift it towards thoughts that make you feel at ease. For example, focus on what you are grateful for. Really pause and take the time (a minute let’s say) to go through a mental list of all your blessings. You will see that the more you do this, the quicker your worries will float away.
At every moment of the day you can play around with your focus.
Sure, sometimes it will play with you and bounce all over the place. That’s okay. Simply notice, observe and then consciously choose to shift it to where you desire. The more you are aware of your focus, the more you start to consciously create the life you want.
Rather than being constantly on automatic pilot, lost in thought, you can bring yourself inner peace by focusing on what creates that feeling for you.
Be patient and give yourself time to practice this process. We are all students of mastering our consciousness and being willing to learn is the first step to gaining the power to move ahead.
