Yesterday this incredible woman reminded me how many of us have a hurtful internal dialog going on. We have this inner mean girl that manifests herself throughout the day and just likes pointing out everything she thinks we are doing wrong or is “wrong” about our body.
I’m here to tell you that you can banish that inner mean girl. Or you can make her much more quiet until one day she just tries to whisper something negative to you and you can easily reply back “talk to the hand girl”.
KNOW THIS: you are not your thoughts. You are the presence that notices those thoughts and that means you can choose to believe them or not.
The first step is of course developing this awareness and create that space between you and the thoughts do you can simply notice and observe them while reminding yourself that just because you think something (negative) it doesn’t meant it’s true.
It took me years of misery of listening to and believing that inner mean girl until one day I came to this realization (thanks to the book A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle):
The mind, or the Ego will generate thousands of thoughts and it’s our awareness of that entity and detachment from it that can set us free.
It’s not something that happens overnight but once you are able to create that space to observe your mind everything changes. Wishing you a wonderful day where you start talking to yourself as you would a best friend rather than your worst enemy.

Sad when you really think about it… I’m more often my worst enemy than my own friend :(((
The first step is realizing it and not being harsh on yourself about it. Take it one day at a time and gradually replace each harsh thought with a kinder one. You are an incredible woman my dear and you are worthy of so much love and self love. xo
