Can you imagine being impermeable to people’s negativity? Believe it or not, it is possible. We can become aware of when we are about to react and choose not to. Arguments are usually not even worth it and neither is getting upset about external factors.
If we develop an awareness of our true self, we can create a space between the external triggers and our reaction to them.
We can notice something triggering us but choose to remain calm and at peace. Whether it’s when your partner drives you up the wall because of something annoying they do or a perfect stranger that is rude, you can decide to not create drama.
If it’s a silly argument I love referring to the mantra “I would rather be happy than right.” Or another good one is “peace begins with me.” There are various ways we can welcome in more peace in our life.
It’s a transition that happens one small decision at a time.
Notice today when you have opportunities to react to negativity and see if you can observe yourself and tap into your inner power to choose to stay calm.
