Thank you Lewis Howes for this precious reminder! In today’s performance driven social media obsessed era it can be so easy to pick ourselves to pieces and constantly compare. I’m actually loving right now how some vloggers that I follow are leaving their videos unedited (so mistakes and all included) and even featuring some super funny bloopers.
This makes them so much more endearing and authentic and it’s finally made me realize that I don’t have to appear perfect to be liked or accepted.
It’s been a hard lesson to learn simply because I’ve been a perfectionist for most of my life and I’m sure many of you can relate to this.
Let’s start embracing our quirks and those of others rather than judging and criticizing.
Let’s focus on the victory of putting ourselves out there on a daily basis and giving it our all. When you think of it, it’s so much more fulfilling to try things and make mistakes rather than being paralyzed by fear and staying on the sidelines.
Easier said than done of course but it’s a daily practice that will make us stronger and braver. Wishing you a wonderful day where you step into your full potential and embrace being perfectly imperfect.
