Have you ever been stuck because you fear failure? I know I have and perfectionism was the reason. Because I have a tendency to want anything I put out there to be perfect, I would often stop myself from moving ahead with an idea.
One particular person in my life has been a great inspiration in showing me that the best approach is to just do it and then improve as you go. She’s also taught me that even if you fail or create something imperfect it doesn’t make you any less worthy.
Guys, seriously, I want you to rise to your full potential and make this life count. Stop letting the fear of failure keep you stuck.
Don’t let it stop you from trying new things and exploring new worlds. We all start out as beginners and that means making mistakes.
I saw this beautiful video yesterday on Facebook by Spanx founder Sara Blakely. It explains how we should view failing as something positive. It’s a very powerful story and should serve as a reminder that failing shows we are trying so it’s actually something we should be proud of.
Do something today that you’ve been afraid to. Remind yourself that your mistakes don’t make you any less of an amazing person.
Wishing you a fabulous Friday!
Geneviève xoxo
