When you start doubting yourself do you often look to other people for guidance and opinions rather than trusting your gut? That isn’t necessarily a bad thing in itself except when others’ suggestions conflict with our own inner guidance. You see, your path is unique and you are the only one that has all the inner resources to know what your next step should be.
Sometimes the guidance of others can even lead us off our path because they have no idea what we are meant to do here.
It’s not to say that receiving suggestions from others is bad but we must take it with a grain of salt and first trust our own intuition. The answer might not be clear right away and that’s okay.
Clarity can require time and introspection.
We must quiet the mind and distinguish the fears from our inner knowing. We have an incredible GPS that if we listen to it can provide strong guidance. In my opinion, it’s good to first shield yourself from outside sources and consult your gut.
Once you have a good idea of what your decision should be you can always discuss it with others but be careful how much you let them influence that choice.
People have their own agendas, fears and past experiences which affect the opinions they have of what you are doing.
Yes, there is great wisdom out there that we can gather for guidance but in the end, the decision must come from us and from a place that brings us peace. Learn to quiet the ego mind and tap into your intuition a little more every day. Learn to trust that voice that has been there all along. Wishing you a wonderful day!
