Making mistakes is part of the human experience. It’s unavoidable but it’s also not necessarily something negative. It shows that we are alive and trying. It shows that we have the courage to take on new experiences. So many of us are afraid of failing. We think that we aren’t worthy if we make mistakesWe move ahead in life doing everything we can do avoid failing, even if that means not really fully living.

Your life is a precious gift and it’s up to you to decide what you are going to do with it.

Oprah says “Failure is another stepping stone to greatness.” I truly believe that. Look around that those that are living life to the fullest. They have probably fallen on their faces more times than they can count.

It’s only by trying, failing and trying again that we can achieve greatness.

Greatness not in the sense of the ego but rather in feeling that your soul is fully expanded, that you are giving life everything you’ve got. When is the last time you felt that way? I know I’ve sometimes stayed hidden safely in my little corner in the hopes of avoiding mistakes.

It doesn’t do much good though as it keeps us stuck in fear and shields us from living incredible experiences. I’ve witnessed famous people as well as people close to me throw caution to the wind and just do what their heart was calling them to do. It has inspired me to move beyond fear and take small actions that might lead to mistakes but can also lead to something great. That’s the thing, if you don’t try, you won’t know and I don’t want to be the one standing in my own way.

See what little acts of courage you can take today that could change the course of your life.

The smallest things like speaking up in a meeting or embarking on that new creative project can take you places beyond your wildest dreams. Creating an exceptional life is done one brave action at a time. Wishing you a wonderful day.
