Sometimes we can find it difficult to accept that we must release either someone in our life or perhaps even a dream that was dear to our heart. Sometimes it’s the opposite and we find it challenging to welcome in something new that is unexpected.

The key ingredient to inner peace is to be open and flexible to what (and who) comes in and out of our life. It’s not the easiest thing to do especially when we have certain expectations of what we believe our life “should” look like.

We must learn to trust a little more and control less. We must be open to the lessons certain people are here to teach us and try to understand why life doesn’t unfold as we had planned.

We really do cause unnecessary suffering for ourselves when we try to hang on to the way things were or the way we think they should be.

There is no point in resisting what is, because it already is. That doesn’t mean to go through life without goals or determination but we must balance that drive with a bit more flexibility and openness to outcomes different than our plans.

Notice if in your life you’ve either been hanging on to something that’s mean to be release or perhaps not being open to the unfolding of certain events that are simply meant to be.

Don’t judge yourself for this. Simply notice it and consciously create a mindset shift for yourself where you are willing to welcome in what is meant to and let go what is destined to pass.

Wishing you a wonderful day where you stand in a place of trust rather than control.
