Note to self: relax. This daily inspiration is as much for me as it is for you. We all need a good reminder to slow down and chill out. We are often in constant performance mode and although this is great for getting things done, we must also stop to take a step back and make sure we are getting the right things done. I’ve seen this as a pattern in people around me and in my life as well. We get caught up in the busyness and we forget our WHY. Our purpose. What we think we are meant to do here.

I know that when I go on vacation (view all my travels here), when I get off the merry-go-round of daily life, I get such clarity and perspective. It’s as important to stop and relax as it is to take action and move forward. Many of us struggle with this. I’ve even seen very rational people go into full panic mode when they had to just chill out for a little bit. Sometimes, we distract ourselves with busyness because we don’t like what comes up when we are alone with our thoughts.

The thing is, avoiding or repressing them doesn’t really make them go away. They just sit there inside of us and wait for the perfect moment to creep up. We must trust our inner guidance system and in order to listen to it carefully, we must calm the F down and quiet our mind. See if you can give it a go today. Even if it’s just for 30 mins. Grab a magazine and just be. Allow yourself to fully relax without feeling guilty. Trust me, the world can wait and it will keep turning despite what you might think. ;) Wishing you a perfectly relaxing Saturday. xoxo
