Life’s better when you’re laughing. I was just discussing this with my dad who turned 70 recently and he pointed out that he wished he hadn’t taken life so seriously. As much as I’m a girl with a great sense of humour that needs to laugh everyday, I do take myself and life too seriously sometimes. If you are driven, have goals and want to make the most out of your life like I do, it can be easy to get caught up in little things that really aren’t that important.

Life is all about balance. Moving ahead towards our goals but also enjoying the present moment so that we don’t miss out on the beauty and joy that surrounds us. Laughing makes life’s challenges more bearable and is truly the best medicine. I know the people I care the most about in my life are those that make me laugh and are fun to be around. Notice in your day how often you are laughing and if you feel like those moments are rare, ask yourself why and how you could increase the joy factor in your life.

This journey goes by quickly and it’s so important to enjoy every moment. When you get caught up in the daily dramas, put things in perspective by asking yourself if the issue in question will really matter 10 days from now, 10 months from now and 10 years from not. If not, maybe this is one you can laugh off and let go of without causing yourself unnecessary stress. Wishing you a wonderful day filled with laughter and joy.
