I usually go for the same old same old classic green smoothie (baby spinach, almond milk, banana) but this morning @lukbeautifood inspired me to mix things up a little. Because I didn’t have all the ingredients suggested in her recipe on Instagram (see below), I swapped a few and the result was still super yummy. Here is her original recipe:

 

1 ripe avocado

1 banana

3-4 kale leaves

3 stems fresh mint leaves

1/4 whole lemon

2 tsp chia seeds

1 cup ice

1 cup chilled water or coconut water

The Red Fairy’s adapted recipe

1/2 ripe avocado

1 banana

1 cup

1 cup baby spinach

3 stems of mint

1 cup vanilla almond milk

sprinkles of unsweetened shredded organic coconut + carob nibs (or use whatever toppings you have on hand)

Put all ingredients except coconut and carob in blender, pour in a chic bowl (mine is from West Elm) and decorate with the sprinkles! ;)
