I often come back to the power of our thoughts because it’s not something that everyone is aware of and even the most awakened person can forget thanks to life’s craziness. Whether or not you believe that what you think you become, your thoughts affect everything you do and they have created the life your currently have. The nature and quality of your thoughts vary from one day to the next depending on circumstances but there is an underlying theme most of the time.

We either believe in ourselves or doubt our capabilities. We can choose to focus on the positive or the negative. We can see ourselves as amazing co-creators or as limited beings and we can view this life as a gift or one where we just go through the motions. To me, this adventure is a gift and I want to make the most of it everyday. I try to always come back to what makes me happy and what I believe my purpose is.

I try to be in constant contact with my mental dialog to see what feelings it’s generating and if it’s creating a reality that is fulfilling or stressful. Start your day by noticing what your first thoughts were about yourself and your life this morning. Are those thoughts nourishing and comforting or do they create anxiety in you? It’s incredible what we are capable of once we are aware of our mental patterns so take pauses to check in and see what that inner voice is telling you.

If you don’t like what you hear, don’t judge it. Just observe and then see how you could shift that mindset one thought at a time to something more compassionate, positive and conductive to creating a life you love. I promise you it’s 100% possible. I did the work (still do everyday) and am so happy that I changed those harsh thoughts to a softer and kinder inner guidance system.
