How much time have you planned this week to do what makes you happy? Do you think to yourself “If my schedule allows it…” Are you running your schedule or is it running you? We all have responsibilities and tasks that are required to keep our life afloat but if we don’t make what we love a priority, it’s us that won’t stay afloat.

Doing what makes you happy isn’t a luxury. It’s not something you do if you have time to get around to it.

Doing what you love is part of your purpose and the reason you are here. You are not here to just get up, go to work, pay the bills and go to sleep. Your days are meant to be filled with joy. Maybe not every single moment of every day but probably more often than you are experiencing now.

We can be quite hard on ourselves and think that we must suffer or struggle before we can deserve to be happy.

That couldn’t be further from the truth. Your default setting is joyWe somehow lose our way when we grow up and the weight of adulthood kicks in. We start believing that life is really serious and that there is no time for fun. Shift that mindset to one that makes your joy a priority. So many people will benefit from it in addition to you.

When you are happy, you tap into your gifts and you share that happiness with those around you.

Look at that busy schedule and see how you can plug in more me time and happy time. Schedule it in if necessary. Some say “If you don’t plan it, it ain’t real” so make sure that you make it real and integrate it in your daily life.

Go to fun events, take care of your body, mind and soul.

Once you do, you will wonder how you could have gone so long without reconnecting with your true selfWishing you a wonderful day where you make happiness a priority on your to-do list.
