The launch of the new Red Fairy Project is beyond exciting for so many reasons. One of them of course is the design makeover but beyond appearances, there are new experiences in store for you. Starting with a special something for my loyal readers. Red Fairy Project newsletter subscribers get a chance to win a Crawford Street skincare gift set! Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on this one so sign up here now! I blogged about Crawford Street back in December and it’s one of my favourite Canadian natural beauty brands so the person that wins this prize is in for a real treat.
Speaking of favourite brands, this brings me to more big news on what you will find on the site in the near future: shopping! Soon you will be able to browse and buy Red Fairy approved items directly on this site. I will start by offering a few selections (natural beauty, home accents, fashion accessories) and the boutique will grow organically over time.
Other fun new features include a beauty section and an In the media widget in the side bar that allows you to check out interviews I did with publications such as Châtelaine, La Presse and Clin d’Oeil. Pretty major! If you are a blogger, there is also now an option to include a link to your latest post when you write a comment (just check the Comment Luv box). I truly believe in the power of the blogging community and in supporting each other and the work we do. And finally, going back to the newsletter, it’s fully redesigned and is now weekly rather than going out every time a new post is live. Less quantity, more quality. ;)
Of course, I can’t speak about this fabulous revamping without thanking the people involved. My friend and business partner Jennifer Jane Young is responsible for this masterpiece. Blood, sweat but fortunately not too many tears were involved in the process as with any site redesign but more importantly, I was blown away by Jennifer’s patience, determination, guidance (she coaches for a living in addition to being an online entrepreneur) and emotional support. Robert my man who had done the first version of the Red Fairy Project also helped (thanks babe!) and even an old pal from Rogers chipped in.
So there you have it. A new year starting with a new site and many great things to come. I would love to hear what you think about this makeover and also if you have any specific requests for topics I could cover or products you would like to see in the store. This site exists for YOU my Red Fairy follower so speak up and let me know what you like, dislike and all that you wish to see in the coming months. And don’t forget, if you haven’t already, make sure you don’t miss a beat by signing up for the newsletter immédiatement! Until next time!
