As soon as I found out that Cameron Diaz had launched The Body Book I was compelled to immediately check it out on Amazon. There were some mixed reviews but it was the description of the book that made me think it would be a great add on to my existing health and fitness knowledge:
Grounded in science and informed by real life, The Body Book offers a comprehensive overview of the human body and mind, from the cellular level up. From demystifying and debunking the hype around food groups to explaining the value of vitamins and minerals.
I have good basic knowledge of how to keep my body healthy and in good shape but I want to go a little more in depth and share this “scientific” information with you guys in an easily digestible way. After all, knowledge is power and that is exactly what Cameron explains in the intro fo the book.
She explains the reason why she thought it was important that she share the information she learned over the years that helped her improve her health significantly and get into the amazing shape she is now. The book is divided into three chapters: Nutrition, Fitness and Mind. My plan is to read a chapter and then write a recap on the blog.
If you want a first glimpse of some of the key learnings you will find in this book, you can check out about the Huffington Post which shares some of Cameron’s tv appearances where she talks about the book. Stay tuned for my recap of chapter one in the next week or so!
